Pennies, Pennies, and More Pennies...

Today was a GOOD day pennywise. I started my morning off with a dream that I was walking into work and right out front of work, someone had dropped a whole basket full of squished pennies. I was picking them all up until my manager came outside and told me to get in because there was an escalated call waiting for me. Go figure.

So.. drum roll. We went to the Utah Capitol building and picked up 4 shiny new pennies! Then we went over to the "This is the place" state park. I squished three sets of the pennies so I never have to step foot on their property again :)

Then I came home from school to a package in the mail from the Oregon Lottery. No... not ten thousand dollars. Better! 25 Oregon State Lottery squished pennies! It was like Christmas :)
Quick weekend update: Two coin shops and we walked away with 2 old San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge Pennies (one squished on a 1929 penny and the other on a 1920 penny), a Hansen Planetarium penny, the lord's prayer, a Seattle World's Fair 1962 penny, and a Lagoon penny.

How did you get the Oregon Lottery to send you those pennies?

Never mind, I read further and see how you got them. Do they all have chains on them? I went to the Holiday Ale Fest in Downtown Portland and got a bunch but I don't have chains on mine.

BTW, I just found our blog this evening. I'm going to add it to my penny squishing links on my blog.
